Fred O'Leary and more of his Artwork

This montage is of different stages of his carving the finished Bald Eagle.

He loved all birds and especially Eagles. This large Bald Eagle was displayed for approximately 6 months in 1985-86 in the lobby of the Havre de Grace Duck Decoy Museum in Havre de Grace,
Maryland.

He seemed to enjoy the mystery of birds. He had carved many eagles before and after this.

This horse was one of the many full sized carousel horses that Fred made. This one was carved in the summer of 1989 in Evansville, Indiana while he was there visiting from Baltimore, MD. He took this horse back to Baltimore and there he sold it. He made several smaller horses and birds that same summer in Indiana.

This carousel horse, along with many other carvings are also shown on the montage and they were made while he lived at Fells Point in Baltimore, Maryland where he had a small shop near the Cat's Eye Pub.

He fashioned some of the carousel horses for people/friends who wanted copies of Denzel and other carousel horses, birds, full sized lions as well as many other kinds of animals.

He later moved to North Carolina and there he made two full sized copies of the Denzel Lion.

This snow sculpture was made in the Winter of 1986-87 on Charles Street in front of the business place near where Fred was living at the time.

It was a caracature likeness of the owner "Nick" of the local sandwich shop on the street where Fred was a regular customer.

Fred also made the eagle and other snow sculptures the same winter.
